About CollectorX
Practice for UPSC Civil Services Prelims built on the questions the exam actually asked.
What this is
CollectorX is a practice tool for the UPSC Civil Services Preliminary examination. It presents previous-year questions from General Studies Paper I, scores them against the official answer key, and marks them the way the exam marks them: +2 for a correct answer, −0.67 for a wrong one, and 0 for a skip.
Rated 1-v-1 duels are being built and are not available yet. Nothing currently on this site depends on them.
Where the questions come from
Every question is taken verbatim from a UPSC Prelims paper published in a publicly available official archive, and every answer is the one UPSC published in its own answer key. We did not write the questions and we did not decide the answers. Where no official key exists for a paper, that paper is not used.
Explanations are written for CollectorX from the question, its options and the official key. They are not taken from any coaching institute’s published solutions.
Who is building it
One developer, working on it part-time and funding it personally. There is no institution behind this and no investor. That is worth knowing when you judge how quickly things will arrive.
Affiliation
CollectorX is not affiliated with, authorized by, endorsed by or officially connected with the Union Public Service Commission or any government agency. All question papers are sourced from publicly available official archives.
